Some thoughts!

I was pretty surprised when I saw her do that pose in game, I didn't think that Osomatsu would be a franchise this sort of game would refrence. I'm curious to know if theres some kind of fandom overlap- that maybe there somehow is a ton of deltarune/osomatsu san fans who recognized it? Or maybe it was just a little treat for a few people who knew what it was.

Kris' Design
I really like Kris' Darkworld design. Between the colors and the design itself, its both somehow very minimal but super pleasing to look at. The same way that the Lost Soul 3d models from wizard 101 both as a child and now- is just... somehow the most satisfying thing ever to look at. I'm probably just insane or whatever, but somehow its like every single pixel of the forward facing sprite is in just the right spot, and every color is perfectly selected to scratch the back of my brain.
I've seen a lot of people drawing and interpreting kris as a dude, mainly through ship art of them and susie (since I thought their dynamic was kinda cute while I was playing, and went to see if anyone cooked anything up-) but honestly idk if its just cause I'm a woman- but I've always interpreted kris (and frisk for that matter) as women. Like in the earlier part of deltarune where you can pick your little squad name, like hell yea we're gonna be team cunt r u kidding thats funny as hell. Gal squad fr lol. Also the idea of the entire group being all lesbians with the exception of Ralsei who's just there to bake cake or whatever was amusing.
but yea all this to say- I like kris' design, and I like it extra with the idea that they're afab. I get the whole idea is meant to be that they're ambiguous and its like, easy to project into and all (which is i guess what im doing) but idk. It just always kinda struck me that way.

Noelle
I honestly didn't really care much for Noelle initially, but she really grew on me! The character arhetype she isnt isn't usually one that I like or gravitate towards, and shes by no means the #1 for me- but she's pretty great! Her desperately trying to get susie to notice her was such a cute recurring thing, usually that would get kinda annoying pretty fast, but the way they did it made it really charming and silly.

The character arhetype she isnt isn't usually one that I like or gravitate towards, and shes by no means the #1 for me- but she's pretty great! Her desperately trying to get susie to notice her was such a cute recurring thing, usually that would get kinda annoying pretty fast, but the way they did it made it really charming and silly.

I love susie so much you have no idea- like genuinely whatever kind of traits susie has all mushed into one character its just perfect. literally perfect. I dont know if i want her or want to be her but either way i want her.
I like the sprites with her hair over her face more than with it out of her face, idk why she just looks way cuter/cooler that way. But at the same time seeing her eyes and her expressions in the sprites is a lot more fun since she can really go ham with being expressive and we can... yknow, see it. I just generally liked her overworld design a tad bit more than the darkworld design. Its the same thing with kris' darkworld design- its just something about the pixels man... theyre all in the right spots. The right shapes, speaking of which- having this character have a huge mop of hair was a great idea cause it has a particular shape to it thats super easily readable. Also yknow, generally understood that shes all disheveled and delinquent-like.
but yea i love this stupid purple dragon lizard repilian person monster thing, i love her. Full on romeo and juliet in this son of a bitch, "but father i love him" and all. usually I dont really like... *like* female characters in media or games. Like, I *like* them, I play as them, I enjoy seeing them but I dont really like... obsess over them? usually thats reserved for the dudes cause its easier for me to engage with media while having a degree of seperation between myself and the content i like, which is usually always in the form of gender. Since i know im not a dude- why would i feel weird about putting male characters into all sorts of situations and things. Its the same shit with gay dude couples, I get to experince and explore all the gay stuff without any of the weirdness of it being... *my body on screen, or something that might actually happen to me. Theres no shot, since, psh- do I look like a dude to you? (dont answer that.)
But Susie??? Dude, I dont know, man. I dont know if the girlkisser part of my brain finally is starting up fully or what but im literally obsessed with her. Any and all susie content, going right in the noggin. God i love her. shes the perfect mix of "heh yea im pretty cool" and being, yknow, human. not performative all-the-time-cool, no, shes silly and kinda doofy sometimes and gets all embarrassed and silly.... and eats chalk.......... I wonder if the quality of chalk changes the taste?
